For those who wish to outfit their kitchens with the clean and simple appeal of a modern and stylist stainless steel appliances, the Bosch Evolution 24” SHE43P15UC built-in stainless steel dishwasher is a sure bet. It has many of the latest convenience features I look for with built-in dishwashers, including a ChildLock safety feature to keep tiny fingers from resetting the dishwasher’s controls.

The Bosch Evolution SHE43P15UC stainless steel dishwasher has a delayed start but runs so quietly you probably won’t often use this feature. It is Energy Star rated and uses waterpower to muscle off baked-on bits, yet has water-saving “sense.” A wash cycle, known as “EcoSense” relies on a sensor to determine if a second fresh-water rinse is needed. Like most people who want kitchen appliances that perform, I was pleased to learn the Bosch Evolution SHE43P15UC stainless steel dishwasher has an internal heating chamber that ratchets up its cleaning power. As water passes through this heating chamber, it reaches up to 160 degrees Fahrenheit. With this much hot water, you might expect to get a face full of steam if you open the dishwasher before it has cooled. However, like most Bosch dishwashers, the Evolution has a system to drain this condensation so it doesn’t stay behind on clean dishware.

I especially like the Bosch’s special cycle that targets the top-rack only or bottom-rack only for a half-load wash. If you’ve ever tired of hand-scrubbing platters after a dinner party, you’ll like the Bosch Evolution. It has adjustable top and bottom racks with flip-down tines. Thus, the racks can handle odd-sized dishes, platters and baking sheets. Even when we’re not arranging large items in the racks, we’re pleased with them. The racks effortlessly hold a host of cereal bowls, dessert plates and glasses.

Other feature in the Bosch Evolution SHE43P15UC stainless steel dishwasher that is worth mentioning is the Extra Tall Item Sprinkler that makes hand washing large items becomes a thing of the past. You can simply remove the top rack and place your serving platters, baking trays, hood filters and refrigerator shelves that are up to 22″ high in the bottom rack for cleaning.

Although I am a big fan of the Bosch Evolution SHE43P15UC stainless steel dishwasher, it’s important to note that it does not have a built-in disposal to clear food particles. In addition to rinsing items before loading them into the dishwasher, homeowners should occasionally empty the dishwasher’s filter. This is true not only for the Bosch, but for any dishwasher without a disposal.

The overall reduced energy usage of this dishwasher doesn’t result in any sacrifice of features. The Bosch Evolution SHE43P15UC stainless steel dishwasher includes 4 wash cycles and two options that are more than enough for a small to medium size family. Its capacity accommodates as many as 14 place settings to accommodate even the largest dinner parties.

The Bosch Evolution SHE43P15UC built-in stainless steel dishwasher also comes in black and white in addition to the stainless steel version. At an extremely competitive price, the Bosch Evolution SHE43P15UC stainless steel dishwasher is a solid performer with tones of water saving features and a large capacity that I really appreciate.

Pros: Water-saving cycle, delay start time, large capacity that can clean up to 22” high in the bottom rack, leak protection and child lock for safety purposes.

Cons: Lacks a built-in food disposal, comes with only 4 wash cycles, lack water softener, third rack and ultra-quiet drain pump that softens water noise as well as eliminates draining sounds features that are only equipped in higher end model.
